DEAR EDITOR
Dear editor,
I’m writing in response to an article I came across in the weekend edition of your newspaper which claimed that people should watch the movie rather than reading the book of a story. I completely disagree with the article, and I would like to point out why reading the book of a story is better than watching the movie.
First, the story is much more extensive in the book than the movie. The movies cannot be longer than 2-3 hours. That’s why, the characters should give all the emotions and tell the story within a limited time. Unlike the movies, when you read the book, you can learn each and every detail of the story.
Second, when you watch the movie, you see the story from the director’s point of view. Therefore, it’s limited. When you are reading, you can travel round the world of the story and it is up to your imagination how far you can go.
Finally, I strongly recommend people to prefer reading the book of the story to watching the film. Obviously, you can do both as well, but I suggest reading before watching. Reading is essential for understanding. Therefore, I suggest you think carefully before printing such comments.
Kind regards,
Jimmy White
