Describe Your Dream House

My dream home would be beside the ocean with a white sandy beach. The upper floor would have a master bedroom with a king size water bed and a hot tub and sauna. The front wall would be glass with a stairway coming up to the bedroom. At night, you would be able to count the stars in the sky. On the main floor there would be the kitchen-dining room combination, with all the newest appliances. The dining room would have a six chair table set. The living room is in the front with the big front window. The fireplace is on the side wall with small long windows overlooking the driveway. In the evening, we would ride out bikes often along the beach to visit our friends.

My dream house would be out in the woods. It would have 5 bedrooms; each bedroom would have a fireplace, and the living room would have a huge fireplace. There would be several secret passages that people would not know about. The dining room would have a table where 12 people could be seated. There would also be a library, a bowling alley and a big kitchen where I could make homemade meals. In the backyard there would be a big swing set where a grown up could swing.

My dream house floats, but is tied to a private island. The island has a sandy beach, as well as a green field from which I can gather fruits and vegetables, and healing herbs. The animals and I are friends; we don’t eat one another. My floating house has rooms for myself and my family, as well as guests. We visit the city very often, just so we can better appreciate being home. My writing retreat is in a secret place on the island. I would go there every day and write stories listening to the song of birds and the sound of waves. (Adapted from Writer’s Digest)
