DIARY OF A WIMPY KID

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a 2010 American comedy film based on the same book written by Jeff Kinney. The movie is directed by Thor Freudenthal. The main film stars are Zachary Gordon and Devon Bostick. It is the first film from the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid. After this first movie, the second and third books were also produced.

The film is about Rodrick’s school days and his relationship with his brother. It starts with Rodrick tricking his brother Greg and waking him up saying it is time for school. At school, he meets his best friend Rowley, but sometimes they have arguments because Rowley still wants to play and Greg finds him a bit childish. He is growing up and he wants to make a difference at school too. So he wants to become popular at his school. He also meets a girl called Angie, who isolates herself from other girls to survive.

By joining many different clubs at school, both Greg and Rowley go on an adventure to become popular, but at some point, Greg decides to pursue his dream by himself. Meanwhile, his brother Rodrick tries to ruin Greg’s dream to become popular. In his diary, Greg both writes and doodles the events.
