Different Animal Habitats
Like all the living things, animals need food, water, air and a place to live in. A habitat is the place where an animal lives.
1)A forest is a cool, dark place with lots of trees. Deer, owls and foxes live in this kind of habitat.
2)Some animals live in water. Oceans are very large areas of water on earth. A lot of kinds of fish live in the oceans. Other animals such as sharks, dolphins and whales live there, too.
3)Deserts are dry and hot during the day and freezing cold at night. There are not many trees or plants in deserts. Lizards and snakes usually live there.
4)Jungles are wet and hot. It often rains a lot, and there are lots of tall trees in a jungle. Monkeys and colourful birds usually live in this kind of habitat. You can find animals from the ‘big cat’ family there, too.
