Different House Types

Many people prefer living in a flat or a house, some people may want to live in a tree house or a boat house. Where would you like to live? Have you ever thought about it?

CASEY: She lives in a boat house with her family. She has a sister and a brother. Their boat is their house. There are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a small kitchen in their boat. Casey’s dad loves the sea so much, so they decided to build a boat house there when Casey was 5 years old. “Our lives are as normal as the other people” says Casey’s dad. The kids go to their school in the mornings and they always come back to their boat house happily. “We can’t invite many friends to our house because it is small but when our friends want to come, we swim and play in the sea.” says Casey.

CLARK: Clark lives with his parents in an eco-friendly house in Madrid. They have a simple but easy life. Their house is not very big, but it is enough for a family of 3. There are 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom in their house. Their roof is very big because they have solar panels there. They use the sun’s light for hot water. For the cooling system, they use the cold air coming down from the mountains. They have a big garden and they consume their own products. “We are away from the city life, but we are happy here,” says Clark.

SAM: He lives in the smallest house in the world. His house is  1 square meter. The house has wheels so he can take his home wherever he wants. He doesn’t have a permanent address but that’s not a problem for him. “One day I am at the center of a very busy street in Berlin, the next day I am surrounded with trees,” says Sam. The house has a little wooden window and a door. People keep looking at him and want to see his house all the time. He believes that he doesn’t need too much space or furniture to live. He has a poster on the wall, his books and laptop. Sam loves his tiny house because it is very easy to build, and it is cheap. “Home is a place where you feel happy and relaxed, I am happy in my one square meter home,” says Sam.
