Dining Choices

We asked people about how and where they dine out. Here are three of the answers:

Jenna: ‘I’m a vegetarian, so fish and meat are out of the question. I like having a big bowl of macaroni salad with all the pasta, mayonnaise, peppers, and carrots. For protein, eggs and beans do the job. I always order a dish from the Eggs section of the menu. With my vegetarian diet, I have a lot of choices too. I’m crazy about pizza, so the only types of pizza I don’t eat are those with fish or meat.’

Andrew: ‘Being a vegan isn’t just a passing trend. It’s a global movement. I always avoid animal products because I think it’s wrong to use animals and their products for food. I don’t support restaurants that have a big Meat section on their menu. Whenever I go out with friends, I encourage them to eat at a vegan restaurant. There are lots of vegan dishes that everybody can enjoy.’

Tina: ‘I always go to restaurants that have variety in their dishes. We humans are omnivores, and we should eat every type of food to remain healthy – both physically and mentally. I like restaurants that offer cuisines from around the world, like Turkish, Italian, and Indian restaurants.’
