Dolphin

Dolphins are really amazing animals. They live in the ocean, but some of them live in rivers. There are 39 different kinds of dolphins.

The beluga dolphin is white. It lives in the Arctic. People call the beluga dolphin ‘the canary of the sea’ because it sings like a bird. Hector’s dolphin is very small, but the vaquita dolphin is even smaller. Actually, the vaquita dolphin is the smallest dolphin on the planet. They’re both black and white.

The boutu dolphin lives in the Amazon River in South America. A baby boutu dolphin is grey, but when it grows up, it becomes pink. Dolphins are very smart. They are actually cleverer than most other sea animals. In fact, they are one of the most intelligent animals on Earth.

Do you know that dolphins can talk to each other just like people? Dolphins are very friendly, too. They like playing, jumping and swimming around boats.
