Dolphin Species

Dolphins live in oceans around the world. There are more than 30 species of these beautiful animals. Some live in small groups with no more than a few dolphins. Others live in very large groups of 10,000 or more. Dolphins use loud squeaking noises to communicate. They can swim very fast – up to 40 kilometres per hour. Dolphins enjoy being with people. They often swim alongside boats. There are even stories of dolphins saving swimmers in trouble.
