Double Trouble!
Hi! I’m Jason. I am a sixth-grader at Melbourne Secondary School. Our school is famous for its identical twin population. We have three sets of twins in our class: two girls and four boys. Can you imagine, wherever you look you see the same faces? At first, it was kind of fun.
The twins used to play tricks on the teachers, and we found it really funny. They got away with it for a while and then the teachers caught them. They also realised it wasn’t very fair and not very good behaviour, so they stopped. We also heard that their mums got really angry with them! It is interesting to have friends like that.
Sometimes you think that they feel the same, too. The truth is one can be brave, the other might not be. Jenny in our class is very brave, she is not afraid of anything, but her twin sister Jane is afraid of everything, especially heights. When we went to the mountains to see the waterfalls, she wouldn’t get off the bus.
It must be fun, of course, if you get on well with your twin. In some cases, one of them can be more dominant than the other. For example, Sam, one of the twins in my class, gets very bossy and tells her sister Pam what to do all the time. I wouldn’t like to be in Pam’s shoes. I think Sam is too bossy to hang out with. Pam is so friendly that sometimes I want to go and hug her. The last twins in my class are John and Jack. They are nice. John helps Jack all the time, and if one can’t do something the other one helps. I think this sets a good example for the other twins and all the students in our class. They really get on well. I wish I had a brother like them.
