Subject: Problems at school

Hi Dylan,

I hope you are fine. I need to ask for some advice. I have some problems at school and I think you can help me. You are my best friend and I know you are a good listener too. I can’t do well in maths exams. I study every day and do exercises but I still can’t do it! I have an exam next week and I’m really worried about it. What should I do? Please give me some advice.

Love,

Karen

Hello Karen,

I’m really sorry to hear about your problem but don’t worry. I’ll do my best to help you. Firstly, I think you should watch lesson videos on You Tube. You can find lots of videos teaching maths. It’s easy and fun because you can watch them at home on the sofa! Also, you should talk to your teacher about the problem and ask for some extra help. I’m sure she will help you. You can also write a few example maths problems on post-it papers and stick them places where you can see them very often. The more you see them, the better you can remember. If you still feel unsure and worried, I can come to your house before the exam and we can study together.
