Thanks to playing the leading role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, Emma Watson became a celebrity when she was only nine years old. She took part in all eight of the films in the series and as well as receiving various awards, she gained worldwide fame and earned more than £10 million. Despite her young age, she won 25 awards and was nominated 35 times.

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Paris but grew up in Oxfordshire. She studied acting, dancing and singing and had always dreamt of being an actress. She was also interested in literature and sports. She was in the school’s hockey team. She was a very active student and participated in various competitions in athletics and rowing. 

Apart from her role in the Harry Potter film series, Emma Watson also received the leading role of Pauline Fossil in a 2007 BBC film “Ballet Shoes” which was an adaptation of the novel “Ballet Shoes” by Noel Streatfeild. 

Watson appeared in the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-grossing actress of the decade in 2009.

In 2013, Watson received a special Trailblazer Award at the MTV Movie Awards ceremony. It is a prize which is presented to individuals who serve as an example and inspiration for the next generation and who have made their mark in the entertainment industry. The same year, she became Woman of the Year according to the famous men’s magazine British GQ.

Emma Watson is going to star as Belle in the new adaptation of the famous Disney fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast”, which is planned to be released in 2017.
