Environment

Allison is a 3rd grade student. She lives in a big city in the United Kingdom. It takes her hours to get to her school every day. One morning, when she was on the way to school, she saw that there was lots of trash on the streets but the recycling bins were empty. People threw them on the ground. There were also lots of cars on the road. All the cars polluted the air and created traffic. She was so sad. She wanted to do something about this problem. She spoke to her teacher and they shared some ideas! Her teacher gave some paper to her students. The students made a poster about pollution. When they finished, they hung them around the school. The teacher also wanted the students to keep a diary. If they did something good for the environment, they wrote it in their diaries. Every week they read their diaries in class. After all these activities, Allison started to feel better about the environment.
