ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FAMILY

We are an environmentally friendly family. I can hear you saying ''What kind of a family are you?'' Let me explain. There are 5 people in my family. My parents, my sister, my little brother and me. We all do our best to protect the environment and we always warn each other about this important topic.

I am a grade 4 student. At school, our teachers always teach us the importance of recycling, so I recycle paper, plastic and glass at school and at home. At home, my responsibility is to remind my family what to recycle.

My parents care about the environment, too. They don't drive to work. They go by bus or by bike and they don't waste any paper or any food. My sister is a high school student and she never wastes water or electricity. When she brushes her teeth, she turns off the taps or when she leaves the room, she always turns off the lights. My little brother is just six years old and he is an environmentalist, too. He doesn't throw away his old toys and he reuses them to make some new toys for himself.
