Eskimos
Eskimos are people who live near the North Pole. Approximately, 80,000 Eskimos live close to the Arctic region. Many believe that Eskimos live in igloos! It is half true. Eskimos don’t live in igloos all the time. An igloo is a temporary house. Igloos are the winter houses for their hunting trips. The permanent houses of Eskimos are built in the same style as igloos, but Eskimos don’t use ice to build them. These houses are made of wood, the skin of animals and whale bones. Skin is used as a roof, which keeps the house warm. Eskimos eat raw fish as well as cooked meat. They are very creative people. They are good at creating miniature arts like paintings of boats and animals. They use animal skins in a number of ways to create artistic things. Masks and fancy clothing with animal fur are common examples. Eskimos enjoy the bitter winter in the Arctic staying inside the house, sometimes for several days.
