EVERY CHILD WILD

EVERY CHILD WILD

Children are happy, healthy and creative when they are in nature. Recent research from YouGov shows that...

• 91% of parents think that being in nature and seeing wildlife are important for children;

• 78% were unhappy that children don't spend enough time interacting with nature and wildlife; and

• 37% of children had never seen a hedgehog in the UK.

This should change! That’s why The Wildlife Trust organises events and activities to help children become a part of nature.

The Wildlife Trusts believes that every child should have the chance to see wildlife. They should have a connection to the natural world through school and games. We take thousands of children into nature every year and show them how to love and protect wildlife with the help of schools and nature clubs. You can join The Wildlife Trusts as a family and get involved in fun events and activities, enjoy our fun and educational Wildlife Watch magazine and explore beautiful nature reserves together. We have a list of family friendly nature reserves on our website. Our nature reserves have got sand pits, mud kitchens and outdoor gyms. We try to encourage kids to explore, create and discover. You can come and play on our reserves. No matter where you live, there's a Wildlife Trust working to connect local people to local wildlife. Just select the area where you live to explore what they have to offer.
