Fake Inventions

In the past lots of inventors had their own ideas, designed their inventions and made them all by themselves.
Today something different is happening. Some inventors come up with crazy ideas,
and because of those ideas, no one wants to give them money to make their invention.
That is why they go to some websites and show videos of their ideas to people.
The videos show an imaginary final product in beautiful clips.
Some people pay money to these inventors to help them create what they have in mind.
Unfortunately a lot of these inventions are never completed, and people who paid money lose their investment.
One example is the food scanner. The inventors of this product collected about $3 million from people around the world to make a device that scans what is in your food. They promised to deliver the final product along with a mobile-phone app after a year, but even after 3 years, they didn’t make a working food scanner.
So, be careful! If you put your money into something that is too crazy to be true, you’ll lose it!
