Family petting zoo

My name is Rachel, and I’m fourteen years old. I’m American. My family hasn’t got a traditional business. We have got a farm with lots of animals. We have got a large petting zoo. We have got three miniature horses, some dogs, sheep, ducks, goats and chickens. My parents take the animals all over the country. We do many different jobs with them . We sometimes go into the city and work at schools. We teach young students about farm life. The children can pet and feed some of the animals. Two of our goats just had kids. The students love baby goats because they are so cute and fun to watch. Sometimes we work at retirement homes. Elderly people can be lonely, and seeing animals makes them feel happy. My mum and dad often work at children’s birthday parties. Small children can ride the miniature horses. Finally, we mostly work at carnivals and festivals. People pay two dollars for a cup of food and give it to the animals. Our dog is the first to come, of course! When she hears the food rattle in the cup, she runs over and becomes your new friend!
