Famous Signatures
Donald Trump
He has probably one of the most distinctive signatures of any modern US presidents. At first glance, you see a few jagged lines that look like mountain peaks and grass at the bottom. However, when you pay attention carefully, you can read the name ‘Donald Trump’. Some people have ridiculed his signature as childish, but signature expert Tracy Trussell says President Trump’s signature shows his ambition and fearlessness. She believes that it also shows his directness and bold attitude. The President’s signature, Tracy says, is a sign of his protectiveness, especially toward his family.
John Hancock
He is one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and put his signature under the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776. He was also the governor of Massachusetts until his death in 1793. He is remembered for his stylish signature. It is so beautiful that people sometimes use ‘John Hancock’ instead of the word ‘signature’ and his birthday is celebrated as National Handwriting Day. Analyses of his handwriting and signature also state that even though he was a people person, he tried to hold back his feelings and show himself as a conservative.
