FAVOURITE PLACES

Hello, my name is Rachel. I’m from London. My favourite place in the world is my grandma’s home. She is a writer, and when she retired she started a bed and breakfast. Every summer I go to Scotland for two weeks. I help my grandma by caring for the guests. Her house is on the highest mountain of the British Isles, Ben Nevis. There are forests all over the mountain. The air is very clean and the view is amazing. We often go trekking during the day. Sometimes we go fishing in the early morning at the River Nevis. It’s very peaceful here and a pleasant escape from city life.
Hi, my name is Paul. I live in the countryside close to Chicago, the USA. A few times a year I spend a weekend at my uncle’s place. He owns an apartment in the city. I love Chicago because it’s an exciting city. There are many things to do and see there. In the summer I like to visit Millennium Park and play in the fountains or visit the Bean sculpture. The Willis Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the city, has a great view. Sometimes we go swimming in Lake Michigan and play volleyball at the beach. There are also many exciting festivals to enjoy in each neighbourhood.
