FIGHTING FRANCIS

Janine is very sad. Her best friend is named Francis. Francis is in the hospital because she is very sick. Her parents are very worried because Francis was in the hospital last month, too. Her immune system is not very strong, so even the common cold can cause a major infection. Janine wants to make Francis happy, so she is planning a surprise. She made a superhero suit called "Fighting Francis." She is bringing the suit to the hospital today. She hopes Francis will wear the suit in the hospital, and it helps her fight off all the bacteria. Janine hopes the suit makes Francis smile because Francis is really sad. Francis loves to play outside and see her friends, but she gets sick so often that it is hard for her to keep her friends. They are always doing activities and sports and don’t have time to see Francis. Janine wants her friends to write a comic book called Fighting Francis so she can give it to Francis at the hospital. It will be fun for Francis to read the comic book, and she will know her friends are thinking about her, too.
