FILM REVIEWS
Critic 1: I do not think anyone will sit 20 minutes into this film. From choosing the worst actors for a war film to a boring story, the film fails to deliver a good experience. You may want to watch it once for its cinematic effects, but that’s it. The film is an absolute waste of time.
Critic 2: Perhaps the best war film of the year. The film keeps you in suspense all the time. It’s the story of an innocent countryman becoming a battle-hardened veteran during World War II. The sound and mixing quality of this film is amazing. The film has employed top-notch 3D technology to trap the audience in its fearsome environment and its depiction of the destitute life of ordinary people at the time. However, Jackson could do better with actor choice, especially for the lead female role.
Critic 3: Good film, but it can’t beat this year’s best war film The Legends. Jackson’s war film this year includes a lot of clichés, like scenes full of firefight and depiction of serious war injuries! It has become too boring for most young people. The film tries its best to keep you in suspense, which is the best thing about the film, but the actor choice and simple storyline do not let you expect something surprising.
