Films About Space
Interstellar is a must-watch. It is about a group of scientists who set off into space to find a place for humans to live, since the Earth is gradually dying as a result of growing dust storms, as crops fail to grow. The story is set in the mid-21st century, in which people have stopped believing in the moon landings and scientific projects are conducted in secret. The most fascinating part of the story is the effect of travelling close to black holes on our perception of time. As the group spends one hour on certain planets, eight years pass on Earth. That is why, at the end of the film, Cooper, who is the main character of the story, remains younger than his daughter, who is now very old.
Apollo 13 is a film based on the failed Apollo 13 mission, in which astronauts did not attempt to land on the Moon because part of their spacecraft was damaged. Although most of the story is based accurately on what happened, some parts of the story were exaggerated for dramatic effect. Despite that, I really enjoyed the film, as it portrays the emotional struggles that the astronauts, their families and the ground team went through. I think we need a remake of this film with better visual effects, as the film was made in 1995.
