Flushed Away
Roddy St. James is the pet mouse of a little girl named Tabitha who lives in Kensington in England. It is the week of the World Cup Final (England vs. Germany). Tabitha and her family go on holiday, and Roddy is alone at home. His only companions are Tabitha’s dolls.
That night, Roddy meets Sid, a rat. Roddy doesn’t want him in the house and tells Sid to use the Jacuzzi in the bathroom. The “Jacuzzi” is really the house’s toilet, and Roddy wants to flush Sid down it, but Sid pushes Roddy in and flushes him down instead.
Roddy goes down the toilet and into a rat world that is similar to London. Roddy desperately wants to go home, and asks the help of the captain of the Jammy Dodger. Rita, the boat captain, is a smart rat with problems. Two rats want her precious possession: a ruby. The two rats are Spike and Whitey, a big albino rat, at the service of the Toad, a big frog obsessed with the royal family, who freezes his enemies with liquid nitrogen. Rita and Roddy escape, and the Toad sends his French cousin Le Frog, with some kung-fu frogs to stop them. The Toad wants the Master Cable from Rita because he wants to complete his plan and destroy all the rats in the city. The Toad hates the rats because a pet rat replaced him as Prince Charles’ pet. In the end Roddy and Rita win against the Toad, and Roddy decides to stay and live with his new friends as a free rat and not go back to Tabitha’s house and be a pet again.
