Football in Turkey

Football is one of the most famous sports in the world. It is very famous in Turkey, too. There are many Turkish football teams but four of them are known by everyone and they are called the four big teams in Turkey. They are Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor. The matches between these four big teams are great events in Turkey. You can see many people waiting in long queues in order to find and buy tickets for those matches. Some people buy them online so they need to buy their tickets as soon as the system is opened. Otherwise, they may not find any tickets.

The matches are played in these teams’ big stadiums. The stadiums are decorated colourfully. The fans are very colourful, too. They wear the jerseys of their teams. You can also see some fans with face paint on their faces in the colours of their teams. If you want to buy jerseys or any accessories of your team, you have two options. You can buy them from the stores of your team so that you can support your team financially, too. Or, you can buy them from the people around the stadium. However, there is one difference. The ones in the stores are original, so they are more expensive than the ones around the stadium. As you can guess, the ones around the stadium are not original, so be careful about it.
