For the environment

Scientists say that our Earth is getting warmer and warmer, and that can be dangerous to plants, animals and humans. Here are some things you can do to help the environment: 

(1) ……………………… . How many showers do you have every week? How often do you wash your clothes? How did you water you flowers and trees in the garden this morning? Remember that clean water is very hard to get in many parts of the world. Use it as much as you need so that everyone has enough.

(2) ……………………… . Put metal, plastic, paper and glass rubbish in different bins and give them to recycling companies. They can make new products from used things. That means less pollution in the environment.

(3) ……………………… . When we have public transport or when we can walk to a place, why use your car? The carbon dioxide from millions of cars around the world makes our Earth warmer. Cars also put a lot of dangerous gases in our atmosphere.

(4) ……………………… . Your electricity comes from the burning of gas or oil. When you leave your room or when you want to sleep, turn off your lights in all the rooms to use less electricity.
