Foxes vs. Wolves
General Information
Fox and wolf are types of mammals that belong to the dog family. There are two species of wolf (grey and red) and 37 species of fox. Dogs are more popular among humans because people keep dogs as their pets. Wolves and foxes are part of many stories, legends and myths. They are from the same family but these two animals have differences. You can see foxes all over the world but wolves live only on the northern hemisphere. Foxes live closer to people and they like warmer places but wolves can live in colder places.

Most species of fox are reddish-brown coloured (white and silver foxes can be also found in the wild) Foxes often have dark paws and dark markings on their head. Wolves are usually grey. Pure white, brown, red and black wolves can be also found in the wild. Wolves do not have dark markings on their head.
