FROM PARIS

Dear Freddy,

Thank you for your email! It’s nice to have a pen pal who lives in London. As you know, I live in Paris with my family. I’ve got a little sister called Kate and an older brother called Mike. Kate is very generous and easy going. On the other hand, Mike is quite lazy and moody. We’ve got a dog called Toby. He’s a very active dog and he likes to run in the garden. On weekdays, I take Toby for a walk every morning at 7 o’clock before school. I don’t like sports much but I love music. My favourite band is Linkin Park too! I play the guitar and I can also play the drums. I am trying to write my own songs but they are not very good! I think I’m better at playing football than writing songs. I like playing computer games too but my mum says I shouldn’t play them too much.

Do you like cooking? I often cook for my family at the weekends. I like making healthy meals but sometimes I make a special dessert with strawberry sauce. What’s your favourite food? Do you eat fish and chips? I hear that’s a famous British meal but I’ve never tried it. If I can’t be a rock musician, I’d like to be a chef when I’m older. I like cooking. Paris is a very busy city. What’s London like? Is the weather always rainy? It gets very hot here in the summer so we usually go to our summerhouse in the south of France. It’s hot there too, but we can go swimming in the sea.
