GEOCACHING
My name is Ethan and I am from a small town in England. In my free time I spend time with friends but my favourite thing to do is geocaching. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game and to play it you must have a mobile phone. First you walk to the coordinates the app shows on your phone and then you try to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Once you find the cache, you sign the book saying you found it and then you can take something from the box but you must leave an item which costs the same or is more expensive. The best thing about geocaching is you only need a phone with GPS and you don’t pay anything. It is free!
You can find geocaches all over the world. It is normal for geocachers to hide caches in locations that are important to them. These locations can be quite different. They may be at your local park, at the end of a long hike, underwater or on the side of a city street. Sometimes I go geocaching with my friends at the weekend. We explore different places and have a great time together. Usually I go on my own and I never get bored. I don’t like other sports and I don’t want to sit at home all the time playing on my phone. Geocaching is good because I can use my phone and do exercise at the same time. Next time I go, you can come with me!
