George’s Afternoon

George came home from school. It was a rainy day. He put away his wet jacket and hat. His boots were muddy. First, he cleaned up the mud off his boots. Now the floor was dirty. He cleaned up the floor too. He was very hungry. He ran to the kitchen. The floor was wet. Oh no! He slipped and fell! He remembered the house rule: Never run in the corridors. Luckily nothing bad happened. His foot hurt a little. He made a sandwich for himself. He sat in the living room and ate his sandwich. It was good. He was tired and fell asleep on the sofa.
