Good News!

Hi Jane,

I hope you’re having a great weekend. Mine is awesome because I just found a full-time job at the local clothes shop. They needed ten shop assistants to help them with selling the clothes. So I applied for the job and got it.

The shop gets very busy every summer. Last year it had only five shop assistants because the shop owners didn’t want to pay extra money for more workers to help them. So the customers weren’t happy because they waited in the queues for a long time. I think the shop owners learnt their lesson.

My friend Linda applied for the job, and we went to the job interview together, but they didn’t accept her. I think it’s because she wore her horrible clothes to the interview. I told her that her clothes were bad for a shop assistant, but she didn’t agree with me. She thought her clothes were cool! I attached a picture of me on my first day there.

Anyway, how is everything with you? Did you pass last week’s exams? Have you got any good news to give me?
