Grasslands

There are many grasslands in the world. Grasslands usually have very few trees. Grasslands have many animals. Grasslands animals like eating grass. The grasses can be very tall in grasslands. Carnivores can eat herbivores in grasslands, so herbivores hide in the grasses from carnivores. Animals like elephants, zebras and lions live in grasslands.

Desert

There are many deserts in the world, too. Deserts can be cold or hot places. In most deserts, it is very hot in the day, but it is very cold at night. Most deserts are sandy places. It doesn’t rain much in the desert. Surprisingly, there are some plants, like cactuses, in the desert. Animals like camels, ants, scorpions and spiders live in the desert.
