Green Sea Turtles

Green Sea Turtles

Green sea turtles are very large sea turtles. They have got strong shells and they are super swimmers. They are called “green” sea turtles because of the green fat under their shells.

Green sea turtles eat sea plants and seeds. They don’t eat meat. Green sea turtles travel to lay their eggs. They use their strong paddle like flippers to swim really fast. Green sea turtles lay many eggs at a time. They cover the eggs with sand and go back to the sea. After two months, baby turtles use their special baby tooth and break their shells. They need to go to the sea as fast as they can because animals like birds, crabs and lizards wait to eat them.
