Greenwich Secondary School

Hi!

I’m 12 years old and I’m a student at Greenwich Secondary School. I’m in 6th grade and I really like my school. My school is near a beautiful lake. We can see the lake from our class. Our school building is over 100 years old. The teachers are nice and understanding, and we have lots of activities, so we never get bored. There are interesting places to go. There is a gym and a big playground. Some students like going there after classes to play football but I usually play basketball there.

We also have a library with lots of old books. At first, it seems to be an unpleasant place to stay because of the dust in the bookshelves. However, there aren’t only books. There is a television, a computer and some magazines, too. We can play chess or even cards in there.

They are many classrooms but I didn’t count them. They are cosy and comfortable. There are some special rooms, too. There are laboratories for Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths. There is a computer room. We go there to study English or Spanish. Additionally, students can go there to do their project work or homework. This is the best place for me. Finally, there is a music room. I play the piano. I think I play it well, but my teacher doesn’t agree.

I really like studying here. My favourite subjects are English and Maths. I love my timetable. I get up at 7 o’clock to come to school every day. I have classes at 8.30. I finish at 3 o’clock every day. It gives me time to do after-school activities like drama. I’m mad about acting. When I get older, I want to become a famous actor. I also like languages. I go to the Language Club three times a week. There I can read magazines in German and French and watch foreign videos and listen to music. I think that’s all for now. I will send a map of my school.
