Groningen

Hi, I’m Helen. Last summer, my sister Kate and I visited my uncle and aunt who live in the Netherlands.
They live in a lovely city called Groningen. It’s located in the northern Netherlands. We travelled around 3 hours more by train after we arrived at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. When we arrived there, they were
very happy and excited to see us. Aunt Jane cooked us Stroopwafel which is the most famous traditional
dessert in the Netherlands. We spent around 2 hours at their home before we went for a tour around the city with my uncle. We got very tired because we walked for hours through the streets. The next day we had a cycling tour in the city. We loved the old streets, old houses and the parks all around the city. It was fantastic to see a lot of people using a bicycle for transportation more than a car. I will never forget this trip and hope to visit Groningen again next year.
