Hallucinations
Hallucinations aren’t dreams, because they happen when you’re awake. You see things that other people don’t see, hear things that others can’t hear, smell things that aren’t around or feel something going on your skin while there’s nothing there. Hallucinations can happen for many reasons, but all of them happen in one thing: your brain. Here are two things that can make your brain hallucinate.
One of the common conditions that your brain can experience is called delirium. It happens when quick changes happen in your brain’s functions. These changes can be because of health problems, using the wrong drugs or head injury.
Sleep problems can cause hallucinations too. That’s why people should sleep regularly for the right amount of time. When you sleep, your brain relaxes and forgets a lot of the information that it took during the day. However, lack of regular or enough sleep can overload your brain with information that is not necessary, and this can lead to hallucinations.
