Happy birthday, Grandma!

Yesterday everybody in Anna’s family was in Uncle Joe’s house. They were there for Grandma Jean’s 73rd birthday. Anna tells us the story:

1. ‘In the morning, our car didn’t work, so my parents, my brother and I walked to my uncle’s house. My uncle called because everybody was in his house, but we weren’t. Finally, we arrived at my uncle’s house after 20 minutes. But Dad didn’t have the presents. The presents were in our house, so he walked back to get them.

2. ‘We wanted to surprise Grandma, so we waited for her behind the sofas in the living room. Suddenly, the door opened. We jumped from behind the sofas and shouted Happy Birthday! But it wasn’t Grandma. It was Dad!’
