Harry Potter Taught Us What Real Friendship Is!
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling is considered to be one of the most beloved stories of all time. The books were made into movies, all of which were extremely popular. In addition to being highly entertaining, these books and movies offer many life lessons which also make the series educational. Here are some of the values the little wizards taught us about friendship:
1. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are an indivisible team. Each is uniquely gifted and extremely brave. However, if it weren’t for Hermione’s brilliance or Ron’s creativity and support, the successful outcome of all of Harry’s endeavours would not have
been assured. Through the hardest of times, they were always there for each other, and even when they had their fights,
they always found their way back home.
2. Sure, a friend will help you out of a difficult situation (like Lupin did when Snape caught Harry with the Marauder’s Map), but a true best friend will be right there in the thick of it. Whenever Harry got himself into a bit of trouble, Ron and Hermione were standing beside him to fight the good fight. Just think what it would be like having to go up against a whomping willow, three-headed dog, and life-size lethal chess set without the help of your best friends!
3. Not long after getting on board the Hogwarts Express, Harry is asked whether he would like to become part of Draco Malfoy’s friend group. Malfoy’s status as a cool kid is safeguarded by his family’s wealth, reputation and confidence. Still, Harry rejected the invitation. He was certain that sticking with his far less popular friend, Ron Weasley, would be the perfect decision for him. Ron didn’t have a cool reputation, but he and Harry had a lot in common, and genuinely enjoyed one another’s company. Due to the fact that Harry resisted worrying about reputations and instead chose a friend that suited him, he discovered a pal that would be loyal, trustworthy, and supportive throughout all of life’s
trials and tribulations.
4. Sometimes you may have a temporary falling out with your bestie and you might think that you'll never forgive them, but a true friendship will last through it all. Not only did Harry, Ron, and Hermione survive all the trials and tribulations of friendship, but they also won a war against evil — and stayed friends until the end. Of course, they occasionally didn't talk or seemed to drift apart, but in the end, real friends stick together through it all.
