HELLO SUMMER

Hi. I’m Gemma. I feel excited because it’s almost summer time. Our school finishes soon. I can say it was a great year. I learnt lots of new things. For example, I didn’t know much about the continents. We read and talked about them, and also did some activities about them in our English classes. Now, I know which continent is the biggest one and which continent has the largest population. I also learnt how to play the guitar. I can play some songs. I played at my brother’s birthday last week and everyone liked it.

I met new people and made new friends at school. Jazmine and Michael are my new friends. They came to our school from Canada. We helped each other during the year. I learnt a lot from them about Canada and Canadian culture.

I have great plans for this summer. I want to visit Italy and learn about Italian culture. I also want to swim and relax at the beach, so my parents are looking for a hotel by the sea. I bought lots of comics and books, but I couldn’t read them all, so I really want to spend time reading those. I think visiting my grandparents is a good idea. My parents agree with me. We’re planning to go to the town they live in and spend a week with them in July. I also want to ride a bike, meet up with my friends and go to the cinema. I think a lovely summer holiday is waiting for me.
