Helping Grandpa

Helping Grandpa

My grandpa has a small shop on the corner. At weekends, I like helping him in the shop. He sells food, newspapers, magazines, fruit, vegetables and some toys. Last week I went to the shop very early. I counted all the apples and pears. There were 10 apples and 12 pears. I put them in the boxes in front of the shop. A mother and son came. They bought 5 apples and 5 pears. Only 5 apples and 7 pears were left. Then an old man with a dog walked by. He stopped and looked at the pears. He asked, “Are these pears fresh?” My grandma said, “They’re very sweet and fresh.” The old man bought all the pears. We didn’t have any pears anymore. Some children came to the shop. We sold 5 balloons and 15 pieces of candy. My grandpa said my math is very good. He gave me a chocolate bar at the end of the day. I really like helping my grandpa.
