Holiday Time
Have you ever been on a family holiday that ended in disaster? (1) __ Did your little brother spend the entire holiday driving you crazy? Were your parents tired and irritable from all the sight-seeing? Well, with a little forward planning you could have the holiday you know you should have.
First of all, you should sit down as a family and decide together where you are going to go. (2) __ You might want to think about places to visit where you can all find something you are going to enjoy. For example, you might not want to book a holiday with a lot of water sports if your brother or sister can’t swim. Do you like going to museums or shopping as a family? Then you should book a city break to somewhere like Paris.
(3) __ A hotel might look fantastic when you see the photos on the website but you might find that it isn’t very clean or the service is terrible. You certainly shouldn’t book the first thing you see because you might find a much better offer with another travel company – so ‘shop around’ is always good advice.
Once you arrive at your chosen destination, whether it’s a beach resort or a major city, you should definitely visit the tourist information office. (4)__ You might even get coupons that give you a discount in local restaurants, for up to 75% off sometimes! And remember – have fun!
