Mrs Adams: Are you coming by car, bus or by train?
Mr Jones: I’ll be coming by car. Could you tell me the easiest way to get to your office?
Mrs Adams: Take the M8 to Glasgow and follow the signs for Shotts. You need to come off the motorway at Junction 78.
Mr Jones: Shotts. Could you spell that for me?
Mrs Adams: S-H-O-T-T-S.
Mr Jones: Thanks!
Mrs Adams: OK, then turn right at the roundabout and take the second right along Bridge Road. Go along the road until you come to the Town Hall. Turn left at the Town Hall and go along River Street. My office is on the right, next to the local pet shop.
Mr Jones: Is that the quickest way to get to your office?
Mrs Adams: Yes, it is the quickest way by car.
Mr Jones: Would it be possible for you draw me a map, please? I don't know the area very well, as I am actually from Blackburn.
Mrs Adams: Yes, I’ll draw a map and send you a copy in an email with the directions we have just talked about.
