How Do Your Parents Always Know When You Are Lying?

Without you even knowing it, slight movements of the mouth or the coldness in your eyes give you away. Even the wrinkles on your forehead can show that you are annoyed.

How you speak gives away a lot more information than the actual words. The volume, speed and your breathing pattern all reveal your emotions. Scientists have even shown that this works if a person is speaking a foriegn language.

If your look at the direction of someone’s gaze it is very revealing. It can show what they are avoiding something or what’s on their mind. Looking down, up or off to the side shows you are trying to hide your emotions.

But believe it or not, your parents were once your age too, and they also went through many similar emotions as you. They know all the tricks!! They can see their younger selves in you. This gives them inside knowledge of you.
