I Like Playing Tennis

Hi! I’m Paul Didier. I’m 14 years old and I’m Canadian. Well, I was born in Canada, but now I live in France with my parents. My father is from Canada, but my mother is French and we are living here because my grandparents are getting very old and they need our help.

I attend a private school in Paris for boys and girls. It’s a nice school where we can have a lot of fun extra-curricular activities. My favourite one is tennis. I’m learning fast, and to tell the truth, I think I’m a good
tennis player. I want to be a professional player one day! I usually wake up early in the morning, have breakfast at home and then I go to the tennis court to practice for an hour. Then, I come home, have a shower, put on some old clothes and help my mother with the housework. She’s a housewife, so most of the time she is at home: cleaning, cooking, knitting, watching TV and waiting for us to be together.

I always have lunch at home and then I take the bus to my school – I have classes in the afternoon. Classes start at 1 p.m. and finish at 6.30 p.m. every day. I have a lot of friends there, but my best friend is Fred. He is like a brother to me – we share our things and thoughts and it’s so good to have someone I can rely on. I trust him! He also plays tennis.

When I get home, I spend some time with my family, help my mother laying the table then, we have dinner, watch TV and sometimes we play cards. I also like playing computer games, but sometimes I don’t have
enough time. At the weekends, I usually go to the cinema with my friends from school, but I don’t go to bed late. I need to sleep a lot!
