I Was Ill
Last week, I woke up and I wasn’t feeling well. I called my mother. She checked my temperature with a thermometer. She said I had high fever. ‘Fever’ means very high temperature. I had a bad cough and I sneezed many times. I cleaned my nose with tissues after I sneezed, because my nose was full. I think I used up all the tissues in the house. My mother called the doctor, and we went to visit him.
The doctor checked me. He asked me questions about my health. I answered his questions. Then he said I had a cold. He gave me some medicines. I didn’t go to school for three days because I needed to rest. The doctor said I shouldn’t go to school because I could spread my germs and make my friends ill, too. I stayed in bed for 2 days. I just slept and ate very healthy food. My mother cooked soup for me. I ate my soup, and it was delicious. I took my medicine. I started to feel better. Now, I don’t have a fever. I don’t sneeze or cough anymore. Our body is important. We should take care of our bodies. I eat healthy food. I wash my hands regularly. I go to bed early, because sleeping is very important.
