Important Inventions

From the beginning of history, people invented things to make their lives easier. What do you think life would be like without those inventions?

Telephone: Telephone was invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell. Before the invention of telephone, people talked to each other or wrote le ers to communicate. Today keeping in touch with the ones we love is easier. We can reach people in seconds. Thanks to technology, we can send instant messages or emails via our phones.

Computer: The first computer was built in 1946. People worked years and years on it. It was called ENIAC. Today computers are the most important part of our world. Before the invention of the computer, we didn’t even have the idea of the Internet. People were doing their shopping from the stores, going to the banks to pay the bills, and using typewriters to write books or letters. Today, we use computers every day to go online. We don’t need to go to a bank to pay our bills, or we don’t have to go outside for shopping. We can do all these online. We can even watch films or listen to songs on the Internet.

Airplane: The airplane was invented in December 1903 by the Wright brothers. Before the airplane was invented, people traveled by cars, boats, or trains. It was slow and difficult to go to another country. Even in the same country, you had to spend days or weeks to go somewhere else. Today, airplanes carry lots of people from place to place easily, comfortably and quickly.
