Is There an Explanation for Everything?
From antiquity to today, science has been man’s ultimate tool to understand the natural world. However, even science can’t reasonably explain certain natural phenomena. For instance, there are some mysterious places on earth no one can explain. Are they aliens or a natural phenomenon? Let’s have a deeper look into the mystery behind these places:
I. Bermuda Triangle – North Atlantic Ocean: For years and years and years quite a few mysterious and strange plane and boat incidents have happened here. More than 50 ships and 20 planes have disappeared without a trace in the Bermuda Triangle during the last century. (1) .............. He noticed his ship's compass stopped working there and he saw a fireball in the sky. Since then, lots of people have believed that the Bermuda Triangle has lots of paranormal activity. And there have been supernatural explanations for these incidents. These have involved references to UFOs and even the legendary lost continent of Atlantis. Some even believe that this area is cursed. Wow! Who knows what’s going on there! Maybe, scientists have found an answer. They think bad weather or human error have caused these incidents.
II. Nazca Lines – Peru: The Nazca civilisation inhabited Peru from around 500BC to 200BC. They famously created massive drawings in the sand which have puzzled archaeologists for some time. Before air travel in Peru began, it was impossible to get a clear view of the giant drawings of the spider, monkey and hummingbird. Yet the Nazca people who made these patterns 2,000 years ago couldn’t have seen them above. Some experts think that these lines were part of an astronomical calendar. (2) .............. The weirdest idea is that they were landing strips for alien spacecraft!
III. Sailing Stones of Death Valley – America: For years, the mysterious "sailing stones" of Racetrack Playa have puzzled the world. This is a dry lake bed in Death Valley, California. Large rocks are embedded in the dried mud. They weigh as much as 318 kilograms. (3) .............. There are long tracks behind them in the mud. What could be moving these stones? There have been many speculations: space aliens, magnetic fields, pranksters and so on. One recent theory seems logical: Rain creates a thin layer of slippery mud, and strong winds blow the rocks across the playa.
