Jack And His Friends

Hello, my name’s Jack. I’m thirteen years old, and I live in Texas, the USA. I want to talk about how my friends and I spend our free time. My best friends are Tom and David. They’re in the same class as me.

Teenagers often complain that they’re bored and have nothing to do. I can’t understand them. I’m almost never bored. If the weather is nice, I like hanging out with my friends. We sometimes go out for a walk or ride our bikes downtown. All of us love rollerblading too. We often play football, basketball or Frisbee in the park, and when it’s rainy, we go to the shopping centre where there’s a big sports centre. There, we usually play table tennis or go swimming.

Playing a musical instrument is lots of fun! For example, I play the guitar and I practise it a lot.

At home, I usually listen to music or read magazines and books. Of course, like other teenagers, I often go on the Internet or play computer games too – but not always! It’s a pity that a lot of teenagers live their lives on several social media sites like Facebook and Twitter! They had better make real friends, if you ask me! In the evenings I sometimes watch TV but it’s never more than two hours. I often invite my friends over for dinner or for some afternoon snacks and we play chess or cards together. We usually stay up late while chatting and playing games. It’s so much fun! At the weekends we go hiking or fishing, and sometimes we go to the cinema. We especially like comedies.
