Jennifer Lawrence

When she was a child Jennifer liked sports and she played hockey and basketball for an all-boys’ team. 
She also worked as a model.  At the age of 14 she knew she wanted to be an actress,
so she went to New York to look for a job. 
She got small parts in commercials for the TV channel MTV and did some modelling for H&M. 
Her family then moved to Los Angeles so that she could focus more on her career. 
Then in 2010 she got a part in the film, Winter’s Bone, from there she was nominated for an Oscar award,
the most prestigious award in acting.  In 2012 she starred in the film The Hunger Games,
based on the best-selling book series.  She played the lead character Katniss Everdeen. 
These days Jennifer Lawrence is a well-known actress around the world,
but she still tries to enjoy her free time by painting, surfing and playing the guitar.
