JOB MARKET
KUNTER, MUNICH, GERMANY
Hi! I’m Kunter, from Turkey. I’m a student at the Faculty of Games Engineering. I’m also working as a software developer trainee. I am taking a gap next year. A new Android Project starts at Google London. I’m happy to be part of the driving force of technology, but I’m still thinking of what to do after graduation. It is sometimes difficult to understand the business requirements to develop the software. I sometimes need flexibility to be organically developed. I enjoy a low-stress career so that’s highly satisfying.
JANET, LONDON, UK
My name’s Janet and I’m a road-tester for a fashion magazine. No! I don’t drive cars all day! I try new things and see what they are like - like sizes and materials of clothes and celebrities keep fit videos. I also test some of the shopping fashion apps and websites that seem to start a great noise. I sometimes appear in some issues of the beauty magazine. It’s cool. However, there is one downside: the stress to get the next edition of the magazine on time. I am on a temporary contract at the moment because my main priority is to graduate from the Department of Journalism.
MICHAEL, HELSINKI, FINLAND
Hi. I’m Michael. I’m a writer. I enjoy reading and writing stories. I do not publish novels, however. I write for magazines, movie scripts, songs, advertisements, and online publications. I am self-employed, so I work part-time and have very flexible schedules. It means I don’t have regular work. That can be a pain, but I have freedom!
