A) DIVE SHOP ASSISTANT AND TURTLE SEARCH

This job is on the magnificent Perhentian Islands, which are just a few miles off the coast of Malaysia. You are required to help with general tasks at the diving school like cleaning equipment or filling air tanks.

You will also have the chance to take part in the turtle research project. You will record information about the turtles when they come to the beach in the moonlight. The company provides accommodation which is a simple hut without air-conditioning. Meals are also provided but the menu is a typical Malaysian one (hot and spicy food). So if you are interested in living in a paradise of white sands, crystal water and tropical fish, don’t miss the opportunity.

B) ARCTIC EXPEDITION

Arctic Svalbard is located halfway between Norway and the North Pole. It’s a place where there are no roads; all you can see is miles and miles of snowy mountains. When you arrive in March, you will travel across the frozen sea and pull your belongings on a sledge which you haven’t experienced before. In April, you have the chance to see polar bears while they are heading to the sea. As a part of your job, you will contribute to the study which looks into the effects of global warming on the Arctic. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and the memories will be never be forgotten.

C) AU PAIR NEW YORK

You will have a fantastic opportunity to live and work in one of the world’s most popular and exciting places for about two years. You will live with a host family, take care of their children and be a part of the family. Every week all meals and some spending money will be provided. You aren’t supposed to spend all your time with the children, you will have free time to go out with your friends, visit museums or go to the movies. The good news is you will get $600 to go to an English course and when you finish, you will get a cash bonus which will give you the opportunity to explore the USA.

D) SPORTS COACH IN GHANA

You don’t need to get worried if you don’t have any qualifications for the job, because local coaches are ready to support you. You will be training boys and girls aged 13-16. Students will be fun and lively but be careful they might be challenging as well. A comfortable house in the centre of Accra will be waiting for you, so you will have a chance to meet with other volunteers. Beyond Accra, you can also visit Lake Volta, or go on a safari tour in the national park.
